Less media, more secret place.
Less noise, more worship.
I’m challenging myself and everyone who is participating in 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, to begin building healthy habits that will carry us through this year. Habits that will change us and build our faith.
Last year, we got to truly see what it looks like to walk by sight and not by faith. Panic. Fear. Anxiety. These are signs that we are not walking by faith. When the world is walking in fear, us, as believers, need to be walking in faith, which in turn, will bring us peace. We need to be on the front lines showing the world the light of Jesus, even when a pandemic is sweeping across the world. This year is going to bring new challenges, new storms, new instances where the enemy will try to convince us to fear what’s to come.
But Jesus said it Himself, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
I believe, if we can commit to consuming less media and start consuming more of the Word and presence of God, it will change everything; not only our lives, but the lives of those around us. If we can commit to turning off the noise and turning on worship, it will change everything. Turn your hearts towards God and worship Him throughout the day; in your quiet place, in your everyday mundane tasks, in your jobs, parenting, dating, or marriage; worship God in everything you do, and watch His peace consume you.
