I’ve heard it numerous times, yet it’s so hard for me to listen. “If the enemy can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.” It’s so true. When you’ve got a spouse, children, work, and a household of schedules it’s hard not to get rushed at some point.

It’s no coincidence that almost every time I’m busy and in a rush, I become short tempered. I mean why is it when we have 3 minutes to get out the door my children move at a sloth’s pace? One rushed moment can ruin your attitude for the rest of the day!

But Romans 12:12 says, “Rejoice in hope, be PATIENT in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” I know. The last thing you want to do when you’re rushed is to be patient. But what if we could just take 10 seconds in that moment of busy to hear from God? We can and should lean on Him in those moments. We could set an example for our spouse/children/coworkers. It could literally change our entire day!!

We have a little over 2 weeks remaining for our 21 days of prayer and fasting. Let us utilize those times of rush to say a 10 second prayer. And hopefully, we can make it a habit of it!
